The Trump administration is cruelly separating children from their families — but now the world is paying attention, and we won’t allow this to continue. We will not remain silent.
Since May, more than 2,000 families have been ripped apart at our border as they have come to America seeking a better life. Many of them have hazarded a long and dangerous journey, often fleeing oppression and life-threatening violence in their native countries. Now they are being further traumatized by this deliberately cruel practice. These children and their families deserve better from a nation whose immigrant history is symbolized by the Statue of Liberty.
By a vote of 193-231, the House rejected the Securing America’s Future Act (H.R. 4760, Goodlatte bill) on June 21. Now, the House is preparing for a possible vote on The Border Security and Immigration Reform Act of 2018 (Ryan bill) that wastes billions of dollars on a border wall, calls for jailing children and families seeking asylum, and does NOT offer a reasonable a path to citizenship. 82% of Dreamers would not be helped at all.
We need your help to contact your Representative(s) and urge them to vote NO on this bad immigration bill.
Call 855-764-1010 or contact the following representatives directly and tell them why you want them to vote NO on both bills:
